Featuring over 15 dive locations with quite simply some of the best diving in the world such as the legendary Sipadan Island, the muck diving mecca – Mabul Island. It’s also one of the few places in the world where you can spot massive schools of hammerhead sharks at Layang Layang. Love corals? How about seeing the precious black coral at Mantabuan Island? Remember the US hit series survivor? Well, its first season was filmed on Pulau Tiga (a.k.a Survivor Island), famed for its pristine coral reefs and banded sea snakes.
Sabah is also nestled within the area scientists call the Coral Triangle, a triangular area of tropical marine waters recognized as the global center of marine biodiversity and a global priority for conservation.
East Malaysia dive locations are fantastic for its ease of accessibility with (most) sites being close to the mainland, which offers a host of other land-based activities. When you consider the ease of travel, affordability, and variety of activities, your only problem will be how to add extra days to your holiday!
